Can a child travel to/from France without their parent or legal guardian?

Any minor travelling to or from France without a parent or legal guardian must possess a letter of consent written by the parent/guardian. Failure to do so might result in the denial of travel permission. Additionally, the minor must hold an individual passport as travelling under the parent/guardian's passport without the parent/guardian present will not be allowed.
