Brittany Ferries and VisitGuernsey are setting sail for this summer by unveiling joint marketing plans to put the Islands of Guernsey in front of a wider audience. This comprises a new television commercial, which starts during ITV’s Dancing on Ice at 19:45 this Sunday and will be viewed by around one million people across the campaign.
The initiative also includes social media and display advertising throughout February, timed to maximise engagement by reaching 9 million UK residents who are planning their summer getaways.
Guernsey already enjoys prominent placement on Brittany Ferries’ French and English websites, with additional plans to engage 500,000 existing customers and host up to 50 journalists on familiarisation visits.
Paul Acheson, Commercial Director of Brittany Ferries, said: “We are firmly focused on the future and our vision for the next 15 years is clear: to enhance services to Guernsey and offer a seamless travel experience.
"We are leveraging our position within a larger group to promote to UK and France consumers at a key time for booking holidays. This is a collaborative effort, as we have partnered with VisitGuernsey on this campaign together with a whole range of other initiatives for showcasing the Island and are also liaising with other trade and industry partners."
Zoe Gosling, Lead Marketing Officer at VisitGuernsey, commented: “By working so closely with the UK and French marketing teams at Brittany Ferries, we can promote the Bailiwick of Guernsey to a much wider audience.
“2025 is obviously a significant year as we commemorate and celebrate the 80th anniversary of our liberation. Beyond this, this collaboration offers an exciting opportunity to capitalise on our new direct routes, particularly within the French market.”
